This delicious alternative to the high fat original version of chocolate mousse not only tastes good, but is packed with protein, fiber, magnesium, and flavanoids, along with the many other nutrients in this raw cacao super dessert. It’s one dessert you can enjoy without the added guilt.
Servings: 6 (4 oz) servings
Ingredients
12 oz extra firm silken tofu
1/3 Cup almond milk (vanilla, sugar free)
4 oz (1/2 cup) Raw Cacao Powder, unsweetened
1 TBS vanilla extract
5 TBS Agave Syrup (or sweetener of your choice)
3-4 TBS Cacao Nibs (optional)
Raspberries and mint leaves for garnish (optional)
Directions
– Puree the tofu in food processor or high speed blender until very smooth
– Add the chocolate, vanilla, almond milk and sweetener. Puree until thoroughly combined and fluffy, and then add cacao nibs, if desired.
– Put into serving glasses or dessert dish and garnish with raspberry and mint leaf.
Notes: Agave syrup can be replaced with organic sugar, stevia, or other sweetener of your choice. Check conversion measurements when replacing.
